Elegant Events has been providing décor & draping courses to the events industry for the past 20 years. We provide courses across South Africa in Cape Town, Durban, East London, Gauteng, Port Elizabeth. We have been empowering woman to open their own businesses and have many success stories. We are proud to be part of building the future of South Africa.

We are Seda accredited and provide a certificate after each course. The government does not provide contracts any longer without certification.

Table Decor Course
Table Decor is a creative course that will demonstrate trendy decorations for guest tables to fit into various budgets. . Students will learn table etiquette and how to tastefully and appropriately decorate a table.
At least eight different styles of table decor for popular themes will be demonstrated and will advise students on locations from which to source decor items.
Table settings & decor will include fabric, cutlery & crockery, layout of decor such as place cards, menus, wine lists, table numbers, gifts, centerpieces etc.

Wedding Draping Course
Wedding draping is our most popular course for newcomers to the events industry, as it is a very practical course.
No prior knowledge is required.
The Wedding Draping Course will teach you:
Backdrop draping over frames
Cake table Draping
Chair Draping
Main Table Draping
Calculation of fabric & costing of the job to a client

Marquee Draping Course
A marquee can be the most magical setting for a wedding reception but their linings can often look a bit plain. Draping can be a great addition to any marquee.
The Marque Draping Course will teach you:
Physical draping of a marquee/tent (A-frame, Peg and Pole, Round Tent).
All methods of draping is taught and can be applied to a venue as well.
Clearing & caring of equipment & fabric after a function.

The Marquee Course is more involved & complicated than the other courses. We therefore ask that the students have to be dedicated.
Comprehensive notes are provided to students in all courses and a certificate on completion of the course. We offer after course assistance.
The courses are 30% Theory and 70% Practical.
We provide refreshments & all equipment required to do the course. Students must wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
The student may bring along a camera to take photos of completed work. NO VIDEO CAMERAS!
Full registration is done on the day of the course. Registration on the day starts at 8.30am - please do not be late!

COURSE PRICING & DEPOSIT:
The deposit will go towards the total payment of your booking. (Deposit is inclusive of the course fee)
Wedding Draping Course – R2000: Deposit R500
Marquee Draping Course – R2200: Deposit R600
Table Décor Course – R800: Deposit R200
REGISTRATION:
Please fill in the registration form in order to complete your registration of the course.
This registration form MUST be accompanied by the deposit slip in order to confirm your seat for the course.
For each course a separate form must be filled in. See steps 1-6 below.
REGISTRATION STEPS:
1. Choose course to attend and pay deposit into Elegant Events Bank Account.
2. Please use your cell number & name as a reference on the deposit slip.
3. Fill in a registration form.
4. Email/whatsapp deposit slip & REGISTRATION FORM to us to CONFIRM your seat. Email to eeventcourses@gmail.com or take a picture & whatsapp to +27 74 756 7541. Please bring the registration form with you to the course.
5. We will email/sms and confirm the venue address & map to the student 7-10 days before the course takes place.
6. Balance of the course fees must be paid on the day of the course in cash OR EFT transfer before the course (please bring the proof of payment & registration form along to the course).

The security deposit can be paid directly into our bank account or EFT.
